good gift book for single mom-to-be?

Do you have any recommendations for a book gift that I could give to a friend of mine who will soon be a single mom?
I like The Baby Book by Sears for a general gift, but I wonder if some other AP books are better for single parenting.

I have heard great things about the "Hip Mama's Survival Guide"

Maybe go to Borders and check it out. I haven't read it, but a gf of mine adores it.
