Provera and Clomid?

Okay so I went to the doctor today to talk about my wild cycles and now my period not coming at all. My doctor gave me a script for provera to take for 10 days and then one month's worth of Clomid. She told me that if I don't get pregnant on the one month of Clomid that I would have to take a month off and then try another round at 100 mg. Has anyone ever heard of this approach? Last time I took clomid I took it for three months straight before taking a month off. For those of you that have taken clomid how was it prescribed to you? TIA

Turthfully - it can't hurt to take a month off, but yes the more usual approach is three month straight and then a month off. You should take a month off after three, in order to ensure that your lining stays nice and thick.

Thanks for the response
I think when I return to see the doctor I will ask her about this again. I am glad to know though that it won't lesson my chances by taking a month off.

I was on CLomid for five cycles in a row(prescribed by my OB). The infertility doctor I am now seeing said that I shouldn't have been on it for that many months in a row because without taking a break because that is why my endometrium is thin. Hope this helps as well.
