Great story Heather, thank you so much. It warms my heart to hear Kenny's story. It reminds me very much of Tony's birth story.

I wish you and Kenny a beautiful, peaceful recovery from his entry into the world.

Much aloha,

Nicole

Okay, I'm loving this . . . my little man ate at 12:30 last night and I woke up startled at 6:30 . . . he was just 'grunting' his desire to eat. HOW IS THAT FOR A RESTFUL NIGHT? I don't expect a repeat performance, but it was really nice last night!

:LOL :LOL Wow, didn't know that my breasts could outweigh a bowling ball. :LOL :LOL

Anyone have a preference for what they use to hold baby while working at the computer? I'm thinking a mini-bassinet that can just stay here, but want to get something UP OFF the floor and close to me - arm's reach.

LOL, heather...when Noah just wants to nurse and go back to sleep, if I have "work"(hehe) to do online I just put him in the sling and let him nurse in a cradle hold. If he were newborn I'd probably need a boppy, but when I was doing lots of projects for one of my classes early in the emester, I put the boppy pillow right on top of the puter desk!!!

I know that sounded 'crude,' but I just couldn't believe the pressure. It made more sense once I realized that I was in transition and standing/walking . . . well, of course he felt like he was coming out in that direction.

The drive from the house to the hospital was the longest drive of my life.

I know, I have thanked her time and time again for helping be my 'center' when I couldn't find my 'way' anymore. And Jeff, well . . . what can I say . . . he proved once more that he actually LISTENS when I talk!

For those of you that have expressed the desire to have another after reading our recent flood of birth stories. GO FOR IT. Only hours later, sore as all get out, remembering the 'ouch' and everything else . . . I'd do it again . . . in a (heartbeat).

When DS was little and less reachy, I used to just wear him in the sling at the computer. I also have a bassinet that's on wheels that I could just roll into the computer room if needed.

Wow, six hours. I can't remember the last time I got to sleep like that!

Thanks for the tip. Today after one of our feedings I'm headed over to the evil Baby's R Us in anticipation of trying on a couple of carriers and this one sling my dh said he saw that looked cozy for computer time. I like 'holding' him - having him on me.

However, I do want to get a bassinet (on wheels - now that is a good idea) for when I'm packaging.

Sleep - yes, he continues to let me. After dd2, this is a real treat. She slept nowhere near that amt. of time until she was at least 9 months.

Diaper Reviews and pics are coming.
SOS diapers fit him now - as I mentioned on the other thread. So, I definitely think they are worth the investment, since the same ones will fit my dd2 who turns 3 in April!
