Oh, I'm still hanging out here a bit. I probably will until I read every last birth story for this DDC!

Things are going well.Yes, I am sooo completely in love with my little baby girl. I could go on and on about her...she so pink and soft, and she's smiling. She nurses well, sleeps well and all that good stuff. She's so content and so am I.

That's good to hear April! It sounds like your baby girl is getting all the mama attention she deserves! I'm also glad that you'll hang out here with us a bit~we've all bonded as October Mamas!

i'm popping in when i have the time as well. Aidan is a little jaundiced, and is down to 5lbs 12 oz, but my new ped is GREAT, and not worried (seems to actually understand that bf babies tend to lose a little more, and that jaundice isn't as big a deal as it's made into). Aidan seems to like sleeping during the day more than at night, which is tough when i have two older kids. The older two are sick with a cold, which isn't fun either, but we're hanging in here. Dh has to go back to work on sunday, so i'm a little anxious about that. . .

Jeri I think we have mutual friends...I was at a LLL playgroup this morning and one (Bonny mama to Claire) mentioned that Jeri had her baby early. I recognized your name and wondered if it was you?! Funny, small world! I hope Aidan is getting better jaundice-wise and sleeping at night! Those little babies get confused sometimes, I know!! Enough to drive us crazy for a few weeks!

Piper has a little bit of jaundice too, not so bad. Just like her brother had. Piper sleeps a lot day and night...but she does seem to have one of her really awake periods right in the middle of the night. She will refuse to nurse at that point until we come out to living room where there is a light on and we can sit and nurse and we can look at each other We've all had a cold since a few days before Piper was born, it's much better now but just another thing to add to the mix.

We have an appointment at the birth center tomorrow, for Piper to get the heel prick done. I'm not looking forward to it at all. I still remember the way Jakob cried when he got his done.

lovnbnhome, yeah you're right. We've all bonded as expecting moms/moms. It's pretty cool, I think we have a great group of mamas here

lovnbenhome~

yep, I know Bonny, as well as a couple of other people who sometimes go to that group. I've been meaning to start going all summer, but i never made it . maybe in a few weeks when we're all settled in, I'll finally make it. Bonny also does a Monday morning playgroup that I usually go to (missed it this week, what with having a three week old and all ) - if you're interested, LMK and I can give you the info on that one.
