The "Melissa & Doug" toy company is so awesome!

We have a stacking train and the pegs came unglued.
I called the company and they are sending us a new one!!
I just wanted a new peg to hold the train together because we cant find one that fell out. I was gonna buy it! :LOL
She said that shouldnt happen and to set this one aside- they may want it back- and we should get a replacement in a week!

TOO COOL! SO nice to see a company that stands behind their products!!!

They really are awesome with their customer service. I called to tell them that our set of their letter magnets arrived without a lowercase s. The rep said she'd send us a replacement, and then asked if we had any other M&D products, and if we had any problems with them. I said, well, some of the play food has cracked in the couple of months that we've had it. She said, "Oh, that definitely shouldn't happen. Throw those pieces away, and I'll send you new sets!" All they wanted was the number of the sticker on the bottom of the box. Very cool, and very determined to keep their customers happy!

I LOVE their stuff, but have never had to call their customer service line. That's great to hear! I love being able to buy from companies that are run by, well, decent people.

Fortunately for us, the food sets came in such nice miniature wooden crates that there was no temptation to throw them out! :LOL

One of the pegs in our train came unglued, too! It's not really a problem, though- I keep meaning to glue it but it stays in fine unless you pull it out.

Our dog ate the piece to one of DD's puzzles. I've been meaning to call them and ask if they sell replacement parts.

Too cool I have a couple M&D things (and I hear DS's Grandma got him some more for his b-day... and he'll be getting the b-day cake from me) and have never had any problems with them. Glad to know though, just in case!

They are, by all accounts, an awesome couple in real life, too. They are from my hometown (or, at least, they currently live in it) and have a dc who attends the preschool my ds went to. When ds was born. we received lots of their things as gifts from my mom's friends, many who consider themselves to be friends with Melissa's mom. Just thought I'd share on of my very few brushes with fame!!

I got DD a stacking train- turns out there was a big crack in one of the wheels. I asked customer svc if we could just get a replacement for the car with the bad wheel. We had a whole new set on our doorstep in a few days. Great service, in our experience!

I wonder if they'd replace DD's blocks in a few months. The pictures on the sides are starting to wear off from all the handling and drool.

I have a great M and D board with lots of different locks and latches on it, and DS adores it. Its perfect for fine-motor skills and for toddlers that love fiddly mechanical things, like my son. Even his cousins, who are very rough on toys, have yet to break this toy!
Do they have a website? i'd like to find other toys of theirs.

I called recently too. Our matchng game had three ladybugs and only one apple and a magic trick broke. They sent out a replacement package but it had the wrong toys in it. They told us to keep those *and* they would be sending the right parts as well. I'll see what we get.

I ordered some great puzzles for my nephew for Christmas and he couldn't stop playing with them! How awesome. Props to Melissa and Doug. Great toys!

This thread inspired me to call about a puzzle we have. The laminate started peeling within the first couple days. I just called cutomer service and they are sending a new one. So very nice

You dont have to have the box- i dont! She just needed a # on the sticker on hte underside of the engine.

We had a blue one ( the ones that connect the cars) fall out and get lost but i have a loose peg that the blocks stack on.

I told her i just wanted to glue it back and she said, OH NO! Please dont, we use all natural glue and wouldnt want to compromise the integrity of your product.

I bought the two items we have at macy's ( had a gift card i coudlnt find anything else for), but they have some at Carters too.

I have that problem with a puzzle too that is only a few months old. This has gotten me wondering if I should call, or is that something normal that happens to puzzles?
