Ian has been smiling since 2 days. Actually at people. He also laughs, mostly in his sleep. Daddy was feeling hurt because Ian would only smile for me but he recentlt started smiling at daddy too.

AH! I thought she laughed the other day, now I'm sure she did!! She was still latched on to the boob, and her eyes were fluttering, mostly asleep..she smiled (unlatching her of course) then...sounded like a little muffled laugh! AAAAWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!! :LOL
I've gotten some, but they don't feel like the purposeful "I love you mommy" type yet. She seems to be looking over my shoulder. They're still cute though!
i seem to get yummy-milk smiles, face-tickling smiles, getting-rid-of-gas smiles, and occasionally smiles when i'm smiling like a goof at close range (so maybe imitative smiles or just coincidence?). i can't wait for the social smiles.
dimples here too!!! i hope they stick around, i always hoped our kids would get dh's dimples but jasper didn't (he's got my facial features, mostly).
I have but she's also over 2 months old. ;-) She didn't smile until she was 8 weeks old, though. A preemie is like having a newborn for a really long time!!
