Pregnant and Need A High Paying Weekend Job...HELP

I am not sure where to post this...but I could use some advice as to where I should apply for a weekend job. I am entering my 3rd trimester which makes things difficult, if not nearly impossible. I was thinking cashier or hostess or something...but I need to get paid the most possible. We just aren't making ends meet with one income and are already in over our heads. And now that DD is on a dairy and soy free diet...our grocery bill is skyrocketing.

Any suggestions?

How about dog walking, typing for hire, babysitting, light housecleaning, paper route, telemarketing...

Maybe not the highest paying jobs, but perhaps you could investigate some of these options as things to do with your little one in tow? (I'm assuming you need to find something for weekends because you're at home with your little one during the week. Of course, I may be way off. )

Good luck!

Do you have any experience waiting tables? I did this right up until I had ds. Most places kind of expect a high turnover anyhow and the money is great. Just talk to them about leave when you have the baby ahead of time.

You could try modeling for maternity wear. Just need some pictures of your pg self and contact the various advertising places for the magazines. Some require you to go through an agency, but some will not.

I can't stand agencies, so most of the 'work' I have done is through contacting and offering to model for less pay than agency models, like $350 an hour instead of the usual $650 an hour.

It doesn't always work out, but it is worth a try for a little cash, kwim?

Depending where you are, art schools will usually jump at the chance to use a pregnant model. Of corse you have to be naked but you don't have to "look like a model"

Wow, those modelling ideas are great, I never would have thought of that. It's true that you do not need to be in "model" shape to get jobs, either, especially when it's pregnancy jobs.

I was going to suggest a serving job (waitress) because indeed, it's one of the highest paid jobs in our area and definitely the highest as far as part time jobs go.

Since you are pregnant, it might be easier for you to get a retail job, perhaps in a maternity store, or even at a grocery store as a cashier (if your area utilizes unions, if not, then the pay might not be worth it.

It might seem simple but some people overlook simply checking in their newspapers every day or job ads. I have found some really cool opportunities just reading the classified online (for our local newspaper) that other people couldn't believe I had found.

If you are in a group of any kind, I'd suggest you spread the word, perhaps by email, that you are looking or a p/t weekend job and see if anyone has any leads for you. Good luck!

I would look into holiday help at UPS, retail stores, gift wrapping, taking on baby sitting jobs. etc
