Brenda, congrats and welcome... Try having DH read The Thinking Woman's Guide to a Better Birth by Henci Goer... I think of it as a consumer's guide to birth. Might help him understand better.

Hi. I'd like to be added to the list. After two healthy daughters and a m/c this past June, we are expecting again and due 6/16/06. I was scared to post this but we had an ultasound today and the baby is doing great...there's nothing like seeing a healthy heartbeat.

Very excited. We have 5 dear children. We lost our sixth this past June (we were due at Thanksgiving)...now we just found we are expecting again and are due June 24th. I'm so looking forward to this little blessing.

Can you add me to the list when you get a chance?

KateMary (Kate) due mid-June

Planning a homebirth also.

Hi. I'm expecting #3 on June 15, but I think he/she will arrive on June 18. I see the number 618 (as in 6/18 or June 18) every day in strange places and have seen it since I miscarried two years ago. Isn't that strange?

Anyway, we're planning a hospital birth with an amazing midwife.

I'm so happy to be pg, that I don't mind the nauseau. I'm so hungry, though, and nauseaus. What a strange combination!

Have you all told people yet?

Does anyone know of a hair dye that's safe to use during pregnancy. I don't want to look like a fat skunk!

Hope you're all feeling great.

I'd like to be added as well. Due to a long cycle I can't be extremly sure on my EDD. My best guess is around June 28th. Planned homebirth.

Oh, I know what you mean! I didn't plan the first one and ended up with blone ends and about 4 inches of brown root by the end. This time I dyed myself my natural color before we started ttc. I read a few days ago that no hairdyes have been proven safe, but none have been "proven" harmful either. It was suggested that if we must dye, we do it in the second and thrid trimesters, when the baby isn't just starting those vital organs. I will say that I know for a fact that stuff gets into your blood stream. One time I messed my hair up bad at home and by the end of the night I had 6 boxes of dye on my head. I was sooooo sick all the next day. That was the worst pounding headache ever. So, pretty much you just use your best judgement, which I'm sure we're all pretty used to here (what with vax, u/s, and such).

Oh, and we called everyone and told them the night we peed on the stick. My husband was too excited to wait. I, on the other hand, was too in shock to be excited.

I've already been posting a bit and didn't mention my edd. I'm Zeina and we think it's 6/20/06!

Okay, I feel dumb, and this is off topic, but I just have to ask what is CIRC?

I keep seeing this in signatures and have no clue what it is! Acually, I'm out of the loop on a lot of abbreviations. What does it mean when someone says KWIM?

I'm lame, sorry.

CIRC= circumcision

KWIM = know what I mean

I'm out of town for a funeral, and I don't have good computer access, so I will update the list when I get back.

Thanks,

Count me in!

I'm Fanny, I live in London, UK (and am French).
I am expecting my first : in June 2006.
I plan CDing, breastfeeding, no vaxing, babywearing (have got 1 sling and will buy Mei Tais)....
I was born in Pithiviers, France, with Michel Odent (am sure some of you know him) and am planning a home water birth with an independent midwife in London.
Happy to join the June club!
