Inexpensive Digital Camera for Pre-teen

I'm on the search for a digital camera for my soon-to-be 12 year-old. Any suggestions as to a "good buy". A simple digital without all the "extras" is perfect. I have about $100.00 to spend but would really like to spend way less. if I can get a couple brands then I'll price shop on the net or shop around and compare locally. Thanks a bunch!

That shows different ones and their prices. You also have to look into what kind of media the camera uses and how much an upgrade on the card would cost. Most cams come with very little memery. I got a sony camera and it only came with 16 MB which really only holds about 8 pics.

Our HP Photosmart 518 was only about $100 brand new. I bet you could get one on eBay for much cheaper. THere are also older models that I bet would be cheaper. We use it for eBay and as long as you use the highest setting for personal photographs, it works really well. I would try to get one cheap enough that you could get a memory car as well though. Otherwise you can't get many high quality pics.
