5 Days Past EDD - sigh....

Hello Ladies,

Just need to whine that I'm officially 5 days past my EDD. This is my 4th time and the only time I've gone late. I had no idea it would be this hard psychologically to be here!

Tons of light, irregular contractions. But been having those for four weeks or so.

Anyone else willing to join me in feeling out of sorts?

My mom was ten days late with both me and my sister..I can imagine it's difficult. My DS was 3 days late...It does make one really anxious...

Well I can whine with you. My ds came at 38 weeks, so I was sure this baby would come around that time as well. I know when I ovulate and it is always around the 12th as opposed to the 14th day, making my duie date a bit earlier. I have been 2 cm dialted and 70% effaced with no change for weeks and am unbearingly uncomfortable. I am now 40 weeks.

today's my first day being "overdue". I was trying so hard not to concentrate on the date, but it obviously didn't work. I did go two weeks over with Devon, so you'd think I'd be a little more prepared. But no... I'm very disappointed that it seems I'll be waiting a while, yet...

I can imagine your pain. I'm just one day past 38 weeks, so one day past when my first baby was born. But I've been having contractions since July and dropped two weeks ago, and I can't quite believe I'm still pregnant. I feel awful and I'm starting to think this baby is never going to show up.

My last baby was 16 days past my EDD...don't mean to scare you....I fully expect this one to be late as well.

Hubby comes home tonight and is off work until baby comes...we are hoping he can go back for November 1st but you never know...I really need help after the baby comes not before but it would be nice to have couple days with him home before as well.

I hope things happen for you soon. It's excrutiating waiting!

I definitely remember how hard that is, hugs to you! My first three were all born at 42 weeks----arrgh! This time I was all resigned to wait until then, and wow, she showed up right at 40 weeks!! But yes, the waiting is really hard, especially if you're really uncomfortable. Yikes. Sometimes I think I actually believed I WOULD be pregnant forever, despite all evidence to the contrary.

You really WON'T be pregnant forever! Really and truly! Hang in there baby, baby's coming!
