Mix together cooked rice (brown or white), a cheese sauce (I make a white sauce and add whatever cheese I like or have on hand, but I suppose you could buy one premade, too), and some fresh steamed broccoli or asparagus. Bake until it's all hot and bubbly throughout. You can top it with more cheese, or a bread crumb topping, before baking, too.
Is this close to what you mean by a green veggie casserole?
