feel like i wasted the day

I woke up this morning with constant cramps & backache & contractions every 9-10 minutes. Took a shower. Called my midwife. We got ready for a birth.

Things stalled. I'm dialated to a 4, In the whole day the midwives were here - from a check at around 11:30 and one at about 6 all that happened is the babys head moved down a tiny bit. I'm still having contractions, tried a bath to stop them but they aren't stopping. I'm nausious & having backache again.

My friend drove down from an hour/hour & a half away & my mom left work early. My husband stayed home. My kids are with their grandparents (they went ahead & kept them overnight since they were prepared to do so & the boys love staying there. Gives us a break anyway). I'm hoping things will kick in. My midwife doesn't have any other babies due for homebirths anytime soon so they left everything here, so it is ready to go whether its a day or three days or a week. I'm hoping for sooner rather than later. We'll see if I can sleep tonight.

i'm kind of dissapointed, but it didn't set in until after everyone left. I really thought it would be today.

We DID go up to babies r us after the midwives left since i had planned on going and buying a diaper bag today anyway (my husband saw the blue one someone gave me & i was going to use and told me NO haha). Got a super cute pink one. And we went to chik fil a for supper. My mom & friend came with us to do that stuff.

Hugs, mama. I know how frustrated you are. Try to get some rest tonight and know that the baby is coming. It will happen. Thinking of you.

I know how you feel. I thought last Friday might be my day, and things just never went anywhere at all. Everyday the contractions are a little closer and a little stronger, and the pelvic pressure is getting crazy. I woke up this morning with contractions every 2 minutes for a solid hour and then they spaced out again! I'm about to pull my hair out.

I have been there...it's such a let down.

I would do some hands and knees and other positions to get baby into position and maybe it will trigger labour to start up again

I did that last baby! My water broke, I called hubby home, called MW, filled birth pool, sent the kids to my friend's house--- w/out a single ctx!!!!!

Needless to say, nothing happened and baby wasnt born for 4 more days. :

But you cant help but get excited, and you had actual timable ctx!!! I mean, there are soooo many women on here that have these crazy 2 hour births, who knows????
