jamison cooper arrived on july 16th, three days overdue. after experiencing labor for nine hours at five to seven minutes apart on a friday then experiencing labor for two hours on a sunday at three to five minutes apart, he finally came on the next friday after one hour of labor. i started transition with the first pain. as happened with my daughter hannah i gave birth before the midwife got here.
i never had to push - he just slid out in a gush of water and my husband said "he's here, he's out." i asked him if the head was out and he replied "he is all the way out and lying on the bed!" i never got to feel him coming out!
he weighed 6 pounds 13 ounces and was 20 inches long. another wonderful homebirth.
