I've been contracting off and on for 24 hours (well, four months, but significantly for 24 hours). I'm very crampy and uncomfortable and some of the contractions are quite strong. But they're not getting organized and not getting stronger. I'm tired and definitely frustrated. Let's GO.

Ok...stop posting exactly what I was going to post :LOL

I have really noticed it picking up in the last 24 hours as well...I was getting nervous last night because hubby is not home until tonight or tomorrow morning....several times last night I woke with a contraction as well...as far as I can tell they are about 45minutes to an hour apart :LOL ...but they haven't stopped at all.

I am so tired of this as well...either stop or get going for real...this is torture!!!

Hope it turns into the real deal for you ASAP and for me tomorrow when hubby is home

awesome midwife appt

I've been having contractions (stronger than the braxton hicks I've been getting since month 6) for the past 9 days or so.

I had an awesome appt with my midwife yesterday, and she said to stop *looking* for labor, it will come find me!
This just helped because I've been so focused on WHEN this is going to happen, that I was making myself miserable with each contraction thinking, ok is this it? is it now? when, when when?
I feel like a huge weight has been lifted since that appt and I've stopped paying attention to the contractions. I feel like I can get on with my life and this will just happen when it's ready.

I know this was a venting thread, so I'm not saying anyone is wrong for venting, but I just wanted to share my good experience as it gave me that extra boost of patience I need to get through however much longer I have.

Lastly, just remembered something else a friend said "remember, no woman in history has ever STAYED pregnant!"

I'm currently in the midst of an afternoon plateau after having nearly unbearable contractions at about 3 minutes apart for several hours, and losing my plug, and starting to open up... So, YES let's get this show on the road here, too!!!!

I've been contracting for a week now, and I was only 1-2 cm and THICK yesterday afternoon when my mw checked me. It was actually a relief to know that it wasn't going to happen any minute, but could still be any day. If that makes any sense?

I am trying to just ignore them until it's impossible to ignore them. My mw had me take calcium and magnesium and it seemed to relax my uterus enough for me to get some solid sleep. I feel much better today.

I still wish things would get moving already, but I'm not feeling panicked. I'm trying to get SO to make me the labor inducing eggplant parmesan this weekend. :LOL

Labor vibes to you all!! Maybe some of you are already holding your sweet babies!!

I'm sending you happy birthing/labor vibes!!!
I don't need any... so I'll send them all your way!!

Good luck and relax... easier said than done, I know, but I think once you stop obsessing and just open yourself up to your baby... they'll show up!!
