will clomid delay my O

Dear all,

I am confused and really need some advises. My period is usually 33-35 days. I took my 1st cycle of clomid from 9/30/05-10/4/05. Today is already CD20 but still no sign of O at all. What's happenning? I read some articles said that people should O after 5-9 days of their last pill. Also, my dh's sperm counts is 23.3M, and 68% normal. It is low on the normal side. Is this the fact that we never succeed?
thank you,

Jess

I had a progesterone level drawn on day 24 . Numbers over 15 I was told meant you O'd ( mine were 26 last month on my first round of clomid). Has your doctor suggested you check that? If the numbers arnt high enough they can double or even triple the initial dose.

I had my blood test and HSG done. Both are fine. I don't know why clomid delay my O so much. It's CD21 now. No sign at all!

I had no ovulations that I could detect on clomid, but I was only using the home O test kits. I also never O'ed on my own. Why are you on clomid if you ovulate? Isn't it for non-ovulating women?

My husband and I have been trying to ttc for 1+ yr. so my ob gave me clomid to see if that can increase our chance to conceive. This is my first cycle but I am totally confused.
I started using opk on cd16 but no +. It is cd26 now still no + but my bbt peaked on cd24, 98.0. Did I O? Is it possible to O with - opk???

You could also have O'd earlier than cd 16. . . that's pretty late to start testing with opks. Clomid makes some people O late, and it makes some people O early. Even if you O'd 5 days after the last pill, that would put you at cd 14. I'm not taking clomid anymore, but I always start using the opks on cd 12.

HTH!
