I just can't help but think her poor baby isn't going to have any breastmilk at all and it makes me sad.

I know! that's the first thing I thought when I heard they're having a baby
post #3 of 13
Did she say so?
She didn't say so, but Scientologists don't encourage breastfeeding. They recommend their own concoction and since many people are operating under the assumption that Katie is now a scientologist, she may follow this line of thought now.

Tom Cruise is the most fundie $cientologist out there. If L. Ron's ghost says no breastmilk, that baby is not getting any.

those people are nuts. I read Kelly Preston's story on how the last child she had to be rushed to the hospital b/c she wanted pain meds. Scientologist say no to pain med but they also want the woman to be absolutely quite throughout the whole thing and to top it off the baby can not be spoken to until the seventh day after birth ( to help it recover from the trauma off birth) - I guess soothing the baby is out of the question :

Where did you read that? Her last birth was a homebirth. She said she wanted pain meds but obviously didnt get them.

In this weeks US Weekly they comment on Kelly Preston's epidural in the sidebar "Scientology & Childbirth: The Facts" on page 57 which was part of their larger article about Tom & Katie.

Huh, that's funny. I just saw Kelly and John on Extra or some show like that talking about her birth, but no mention of that. They didn't say that it didn't happen, they just didn't say it did.

I live near Toledo, Ohio, Katie's hometown. Her dad is a doctor, maybe I should start sending him things about bfing and hope he can talk some sense into her
