Cramps, Backache & Bad Sleep, Oh My!

I have been SO crampy since last night, feels like really bad menstrual cramps. Also, I'm not sure if it's the baby's head or not, but I get these incredibly SHARP pains that feel like they're in my tailbone. It seems to be worse when I change positions. I just couldn't get comfy in bed last night with all this stuff going on, not to mention the braxton hicks that I'm doing my best to ignore.

anyone else feeling this stuff and does anything help?

Sounds like me last night. I had incredibly painful contractions that felt like menstrual cramps with a really bad achy back. They hurt so bad, I thought for sure something was going on. I tried doing different things and they still stayed regular. I finally ended up falling asleep and they are gone this morning. I'm hoping I can get things going later today, gonna eat some spicy stuff and walk around the mall for a while.

yeah, I had Thai food last night, half hoping that would get something going. I don't think it did, but it was damn good!! Followed that with ice cream, yum!

Hehe, I did the same. We had chinese, I got mongolian beef that is supposed to be spicy but it wasn't When DH gets home we are going to BW3's for some flaming buffalo wings, if that doesn't do it, then she just isn't ready to come out yet LOL

I'm :LOL right now reading your posts...I had a very similar night last night with cramps, backache and general difficulty with finding a comfortable position...

AND I ATE THAI FOOD LAST NIGHT!

:LOL :LOL

Hmmmm....is there something to this?

I originally attributed it to the impending full moon on Monday, I've had a feeling for a while during this pregnancy that we'll have a full moon baby.

We'll see!

It's nice to connect with other mamas that are going through such similar experiences.

I think a lot of it has to do with the full moon. I just figured I would start trying to help things along a little with the extra walking and spicy foods. I already told DH I think she will be born on monday. I'm actually hoping for tomorrow but monday would be ok too!

I've been horribly crampy for several days, and the pelvic pressure is ridiculous. I'd forgotten about spicy foods. My heartburn has been unbearable this time. We are having the "labor inducing" eggplant parmesan for dinner tonight. :LOL

I would be thrilled with a full moon baby!

Luckily I am on nexium for heartburn so that is one thing I don't have to worry about. I've been thinking about trying eggplant parmesan, are you making your own or getting it somewhere? I really don't feel like shopping and cooking so I would have to order it somewhere. Would olive garden have it?

Count me in. Up for three hours last night with strong ctx starting in my back and wrapping around to my abdomen. Finally I drifted off around 4:00. Up at 7:00. I'm exhausted and having no ctx whatsoever. I'm sooo discouraged. Baby. Out. Now.

My sweetie is making it for me. I would imagine Olive Garden would have it. I've never really noticed it on any restaurant menus though.

I don't think I've ever been this impatient with any of my babies. I was cruising along just fine until the insane contractions started.

I might just make some spaghetti with extra oregano and basil in it and see if that does the trick!

Well, it's my MILs famous taco salad tonight for me, pass the hot sauce!!

funny that we are having similar eating habits...our babies were craving asian food last night I guess!

Does anyone else notice that the contractions are so much more frequent at night? Does this maybe have something to do with dehydration? I try to drink as much water as possible during the day/early evening (my mw said 3 quarts!! yikes!) and maybe because in the middle of night I'm not drinking, I'm getting so many more contractions...

I am SO glad I found this website, it is indeed wonderful to share/vent/support together. Yay October DDC!

YES YES YES!!!!!!! This is happening to me. I'm feeling like I'm NEVER going to have this baby. I've been having significant cramping and contractions for three days. Yesterday I felt like my back was going to break all day, and this morning I was having strong, cramping, had-to-breathe-through-them contractions... and I am NOT in labor. I can't believe it. I'm so frustrated. I hadn't even realized the full moon is coming. Think I might go out and bay at it if I haven't had this baby by then.

So what is the eggplant parmensan all about and spicey foods? Is it gonna make him get here faster? I was due on the 6th and am so ready, thats right baby I said Im ready, did you hear your mama, ah I want to hold you.

Full moon coming huh? That would explain why I feel like he's on his way...I'm jealous of you mamas that can still stomach spicy food. even though he's dropped my heartburn is still chugging right along. I miss buffalo wings.

I have been feeling the sharp pains on my cervix the last few days. I did MAJOR house cleaning yesterday hoping all the activity would stir it up...
by the way, what do you guys think of the name Finn Marley? We've been scratching our heads for a middle name....(sorry to change the subject)

Me too... I had lasagna tonight for dinner...yum! I already have heartburn...had it before I started to eat. The tomato sauce does it to me every time

Full moon baby! It's in a few nights, or is it tomorrow? I'd love to have the pool out where I could howl at the moon and give birth...that would be fun :LOL . But that would mean that I would have to have the pool on the front lawn (NOT something I'd be willing to do~as we live on a VERY busy street! )

The full moon is on Monday.

from Space.com...

October 17, 8:14 a.m. EDT -- The Full Hunter?s Moon. With the leaves falling and the deer fattened, it is time to hunt. Since the fields have been reaped, hunters can ride over the stubble, and can more easily see the fox, also other animals, which have come out to glean and can be caught for a thanksgiving banquet after the harvest. A very minor (6.8% coverage) partial eclipse of the Moon will take place between 7:34 and 8:32 a.m. EDT and will be visible from western and central sections of North America.
