hey, all you mamas with heartburn, what about taking Tums after eating? My understanding is that they're safe and I just pop a few of them after dinner as a preventitive measure and haven't had too many problems with digestion...also that extra calcium is good for us!

Let's GO full moon babies!!

and I agree with the comment about Tums-- I've incorporated them as a regular routine. They are wonderful!!!!

eggplant parmesan

I checked out that eggplant story-- very cute!! Emailed it to some other friends that are expecting-- let me know if it works for you.
Personally, if you have a choice of restaurants, I wouldn't recommend Olive Garden's eggplant parmesan. It is okay, but just okay. Find a mom and pop's Italian place- theirs will be better. If all else fails, Safeway brand eggplant parmesan is actually quite good. We've also bought and tried Michelangelo's brand and liked it. Nothing is as good as homemade, but buying it frozen is all I can do sometimes!

I like Finn Marley too.

I have been avoiding antacids like the plague because they interfere with iron absorption and I've been anemic. I don't know if I can avoid them much longer though! I woke up at 2:00 last night with heartburn and it took nearly an hour to get back to sleep.

I'm trying my second serviing of eggplant right now. :LOL

Sometimes I just don't like to take Tums in the middle of the night-I swear I can taste them in the morning...yuck. Have you tried drinking a small amount of milk for that middle of the night heartburn? It always makes me feel better. (This coming from someone who refused to drink milk before I was pregnant )

Thanks for the input on the name!! I think I've finally found the right one!! I wanted his first name to be Marley but everyone kept telling me that it's a girl name??? (I've never met a girl named Marley)

Yup, I've been chugging milk like crazy, at least compared to how much milk I drink when not pregnant.

I have heard Marlie as a girl's name, but I think Marley is a perfectly good boys' name. I really like androgynous sounding names though!
