Breastfeeding Censorship in New Brunswick

Grrrr. An "alternative" paper in New Brunswick (Here) published an article about NB having the lowest bfing rates in Canada. There was a beautiful picture of a bf mama and baby on the cover. The publisher yanked the paper and reprinted the cover with a boring linedrawing with no bf overtones. The editor quit and the writer swears he won't write for Here again. Below are two CBC articles about the censorship.

Thanks Janice - I should have known you would catch that!

I saw some of your work with Health Canada - great job and thanks for doing what you do. I never would have thought of many of the issues you and other women raised (for e.g. the woman who talked about getting quitting/fired from her restaurant job for bfing at work.) I thought I had a problem because I had to commandeer a board room. I hadn't even thought what it would be like if I was bfing back in my restaurant days.

Best wishes,

Rebecca
