Rough night..no baby

well I had nice contractions that got to about 10mins apart for a few hours...went to bed to rest thinking if it happens it happens...then in the middle of the night after being awakened consistantly with contractions Sophia gets sick...yuck all over everything.

Fortunately hubby is there to strip her bed and clean her up...then she gets sick again and it's all in her hair and we had to change our bed and get her in the bath..had to wash her hair. So we finally get settled in and I get in bed and contractions have completely stopped.

so sleep at 2:30am and awake again at 7am to get kids up for school. I am so tired!

So extra laundry and no sleep...just great

Anyway...at least DH is home..yay.

The contractions did something..baby is wayyyyyyyyyy down now and every move is excutiating.

Are there any moves I should try to keep baby down? I am ready to move forward and get this baby out!

Aw, I'm sorry you had a rough night. Can you take Sophia out for a leisurely walk? I took DS to mommy & me on the day I delivered. We walked to the park and I tried to keep my mind off timing the contractions. Distraction is so helpful to me when I'm laboring.

Good luck to you! (And I hope Sophia feels better)

oh boy, I had such a rough night too! I don't have any sick kids or anything, but my contractions and CRAMPS kept me from ever getting deep sleep. I think it was that full moon, (I was so hoping we'd all have our babies from the full moon!) and I'm trying to stay calm and patient, but I don't know how many more nights I can take like this!!

I don't know of anything else than walking that will keep the baby low, but usually they stay low when they drop, right?

good luck to us all!

Good luck Carolyn! I hope Sophia is feeling better and that your baby comes soon! I can't believe it's so close...thinking back to the days of the one thread

I know that is SOOO frustrating!!!

Walking is good. Squatting can help open stuff up and help keep baby's head down low.

Sweetie, we must be on the exact same schedule!! Rough night here too. I had a lot of lower back pain before going to bed, then woke up at 4 am with contractions and major back pain (bad enough to need to get into the tub). Contractions stayed nice and steady at 10 minutes apart till 9am, when I took another bath. After that I laid down with dh who rubbed my back so that I could catch some sleep...contractions still going....woke up, walked...contractions still going...then contractions STOP!

Big hugs to you because I know how hard this is!

Ugh! I hope things pick up for you soon! What was funny (and frustrating) last week when I was having tons of contractions that never went away, just picked up and then spaced out, was that I'd be in what seemed like a good rhythm, and then my 2 yr old would need something and they'd space out again! Weird, huh? I hope little brother isn't waiting for her to go off to kindergarten before making his appearance! :LOL
