I was wondering if the hospital I'll be going to would let me keep it. It seems like there are alot of benefits to eating it, but I do admit to feeling a bit squeamish about it. DH said he didn't think he could eat any, but he be happy to prepare it for me!

First baby was hospital birth and I didn't even think about the placenta. Second was a HB, planted the placenta in the forest. Probably got dug up and eaten by a bear. This baby's placenta: I ate a tablespoon sized chunk raw, minced, after the birth 1xday (just swallowed w/water like vitamins). DH sliced up the rest raw, put in our dehydrator on 108 (retains living enzymes at that temp), I crack off little pieces and swallow like vitamins. Storing pieces in jar in fridge. WAY too lazy to powder & put into capsules. Who has the time?
This is the BEST postpartum recovery I've had, go figure, at 37!
