I had two chemical pregnancies during the last year of my TTC journey. It was very difficult for us. The second one, I was being closely monitored and my nurse explained that I should wait a month before trying again to allow my body to heal as it had just begun the changes of pregnancy.

yup. several here. My last one was almost funny, because I got my period but still had to go in to my fertility clinic for the required "pregnancy test". The nurse called to give me my good news that afternoon. Duh.. Don't they read the charts??

Are you taking a progesterone support?

My understanding of a biochem is a form of nature's quality control. It is a pregnancy that is detected by biochemical means only. (I think?) It is a very early pregnancy loss. But a real loss still, which I think is lost on a lot of people. Especially if the mom/parents were hope to conceive.

I think that most go undetected, as in, "Geez, my period was late and has been weird." But for those who are being closely monitored it is caught and understood as a biochem preg.

Hope that helps.
