Yup!! My dd goes completely berserk when she sees the vacuum come out and all of her toys still on the floor (after being told to help pick them up for hours beforehand)

My house is a complete disaster and I only have one. (But we homeschool, does that count for anything? )

Oh man, I am so glad I found this thread. I have three under age five, and my house is the pit of doom.

Either the upstairs is clean, or the downstairs is clean. Never both. Its a polarity thing. And we have this problem with piles of crap everywhere. Say, we want to actually eat off the dining room table. Well, that would mean we would have to scoop up the pile of art projects, school papers, computer, computer parts, knitting stuff....and move it to kitchen counter. Then we need to cook -said pile gets moved to couch, but then we want to sit on the couch, back to table .

Aaaaahhh, its a constant battle. Dh was all upset the other day, because he went over to our friend's house (they have 2 children) and it was immaculate. So now he thinks there is no reason ours can't be like that, and he's on this whole drill sargeant Mr. Clean thing. I told him, honey, don't you know those people are insane?!
