Ethan James is here!

After five days of false labor and an incredibly intense seven-hour actual labor, Ethan was born underwater at home at 7:18 this morning. He's 7 lbs 1 oz and 19.25 inches long. The birth was amazing. I'm too tired to write up the whole birth story, but we've been blessed with a serene, gorgeous little boy and we're all doing wonderfully.

Hooray for October babies!

Rachel, what wonderful news!!! I am so glad to know he arrived safely and it sounds like you had a much more manageable birth experience than last time. I can't wait to hear about how the water birth was and what it was like to give birth at home. I hope your Mom was there, but given the time frame, I wonder if she made it.

I LOVE his name. Big hugs to all of you, congratulations to Abby on her big sisterhood and welcome to the world baby Ethan James!
