How about Goodwill or another charity. If it's in good condition AND you have the time, you could Ebay.

For me I just want things out. I don't worry so much about finding the perfect home. I know that can be a barrier.

Okay first figure out why you are holding on to it?
If its for sentimental reasons get a box for each person in the house, you can keep those things as long as they fit in that box. Take pictures of the fluff = stuffed animals, clothing, that has meaning to you or find picture with child wearing it...

But even if you are holding on to things thinking next son/daughter will use that think again. My two sons born almost 3 years apart - different seasons, different sizes son1 10.6 at birth, son 2 prem. Son one long and lanky, son two little chubba. Also if you hold onto old things you can't get new things.

So where to give them? Well I know I like to feel that my 'stuff' is getting new life. Why not find a charity that gives real reciepts or see if you can find a refugee family with an infant as they often have nothing. Women's shelters are another great idea. I just dropped 2 boxes off at a local midwife centre for the clients. So freeing and I really forget what was in there.

But a word of advice from the FFS not quite done girl...it took a tonne of time and felt great but if I had to do it again I'd just box it up according to size offer it FFS or find a good home like the ones above.

and if you really are a packrat then you will want to accumulate new stuff if you have another child I had my oldest go through her 'box' and let her choose what to keep....she was excellent!

But sigh its an ongoing battle I must say!
