Birth Announcements (like, the kind you mail out) - Page 2

We are buying announcements from these people:

We don't know if it is a boy or a girl so I did not really feel like we could do anything ahead of time, aside from pre-address. I am really hoping my Mom will spring for the announcements though, because they are really pricey, but exactly what I want. Heck, it is our first baby, right??

ours are kinda set to go

i went to a local printer -- they do like newsletters and mailings and stuff. locally owned and opperated.

I know what i want -- they will put it together and print it and cut it. I will fold it and mail it.

It is on 17 inch standard paper -- truns out to be 5 X 17. (so 2 on a page)

4 panels that fold up together like an accordian.

one is the pic of my belly with a tital like Mircial and a bible verse below it

next is a ultrasound photo with a title like Blessing and a bible verse

the third is the baby's picutre with a title like Gift and a bible verse below it

and the 4th is the stats along with "named in honor of --------"

folded up it fits ina standard 5X5 invite envlope and takes a normal stamp.

light gray light card stock -- all in black and white.

That sounds really cool Amy!

I'm still so on the fence about whether to make or buy. Sometimes I feel like it would be really worth it to make them and save lots of money; other times I feel like I'm not going to have the time or energy once the baby is actually here, even if I do get them all partially done before she's born.

But I did figure out what to do regarding the whole holiday card + birth announcement business: I'm going to send the announcement along with a photo (maybe 2) and a holiday greeting letter in one envelope. And that's it! Well that's the plan as of today anyway.

We plan to send two differnt ones -- the annoc and the Christmas card.

But the cards will just be a card; signed and sent. with a gernic letter int hem.

Both -- annoc and cards -- will be address and stamped and ready before baby, so just the baby's name needs to be inserted and we are good to go.

DH has a lot of professional contacts, couldn't do away with teh holiday card totally.

more work i know, but......

OH AMy!!! Stationary is my addiction and I love love love your first choice.
I was thinking of this one because I can put a pic of all 3 kids on the inside but I may have to reconsider...so many beautiful cards in this thread.
