Ahhhh, why didn't I see it coming? Its nice that the NYC "The View" Nurse-In opened up new career opportunities for her.

Nasty!

At least her babe got 6m of the good stuff. :

I don't blame her for taking the job as "spokesmom." What bugs me is that the formula companies are legally allowed to hire her. Keep the breastmilk substitutes on the shelves and readily accessable to babies who need it, but stop all the marketing for the stuff. Oh, if only the WHO code was US law...

Funny, she is a big supporter of breast cancer research as well as a formula "spokesmom" :LOL

That is so sad. Bright beginnings my foot. She had a bright beginning...

I guess that explains why she made the "weaning" announcement. Very calculated....

Silly Bitsy, boobs are for kids.

Damn. So you realize the formula company had to have approached her a LONG time ago. So what we think is "spontaneous" conversation is SOOOO calculated and choreographed!!!! :
Ha, maybe she didn't even really wean and it's all just a big marketing ploy for her to make more money. Honestly, have you ever heard any other tv personality announce the weaning of their child? All way too convienent.

I'm sure not breaking the bank is a huge concern for her! :

Yuck

Way to sell out - 'cos what are most people likely to remember? That she bf? Or that she is the cosy trustworthy spokesmom for a formucrap company that promises 'bright beginnings'?

too bad she isn't supporting a proven way to reduce breast cancer risk...didn't her mom have breast cancer? and yet she weaned at 5-6 months. i guess she get the whole part about the length of nursing corresponding with reduced risk. shame on her for helping them "appeal to moms like her"
or ? I'm not sure, but either way I'm done with Elisabeth. I had such high hopes for her, she didn't find out the gender of her child and she at least attempted a drug-free birth but she has disappointed me immensely.

Being active in breastcancer funding & researching is nice, but giving your child the best nutritional and emotional support while lowering the risk of cancer for both of you is PRICELESS!

I'm curious how having to PAY for something is somehow more affordable than what is FREE, as well as healthier.

Truth in advertising????

At this point I don't even think it's worth it to write her letters because then she'll just say she's being persecuted by the lactivists. :Puke

I want to see billboards across the country that say "Breastfeeding reduces the risk of breast cancer."

I remember reading posts that she made a big announcement that the baby was having one formula bottle at night, several weeks ago.

So the View is just one big infomercial to her?
