Just wondering if any of you are making any changes, adding new goals, etc to your at home (and beyond ) learning?

I want to think more about what it is I want or need to do differently after winter break.:

I know that I....

...need to stop saying we can't do this or that cuz of baby. Or let's wait till baby takes a nap, etc,.

....want to start having family meetings once a week.

....want to try some sort of *routine* for reading and playing games, and attempting housework.

....want to try to incorporate regular religion reading.

I have those same goals! As I was reading them I thought I wrote them! Actually, we had our first family meeting tonight and it went pretty well. It was short and last minute but I think that's how it will work best. Planning things don't always workout around here.

I am also desperate for more of a routine. I like to be loose and laid back but feel that the kids are more routine oriented so I should do what's best for them.

I also need to stop using my toddler and newborn as an excuse for not doing schoolwork/games/arts/crafts etc. I'm going to work on that.

What I really need to do is go to bed earlier so we don't sleep so late. Or at least I shouldn't sleep so late so that when they get up I'm showered and ready to go.

I'm interested to see what others have planned!
