Disturbingly freaky but intact?

Wow, these dolls scare the crap out of me. :LOL

But someone on another message board posted a link to this one and I think he looks intact! What do you think?
Those really creep me out. Why would you want a baby that always looks like it's crying? I don't get it.
Yeah, it's intact. Hey I can just get one of those instead of having another baby. :LOL My dd would love one of those but they are kind of creepy. They look way too real. She needs to get rid of the bottle too.

Definitely intact and definitely freaky

Although, the ones that aren't crying are kinda cute....and with my obsession with babies when I was younger I probably would've loved to have had one :
I wanted a *real* baby when I was 16!

Well, it is being sold out of the U.K., where intact is "normal"

Take care,

I once worked with a woman who made the porcealain originals for toy companies that molds are made from to make vinyl dolls. That was in the early 1990's and she sold them for up to $15,000.00. They were so realistic it was spooky too.

I think those babies are beautiful! I mean dolls!!!

Those are dolls?

It took me a minute to figure that out. The ones sleeping with their eyes closed look so real. Of course the crying ones look a whole lot like my newborn.

Honestly the newborn one is so lifelike it's frightening....
And yeah, the artist is from the UK, so intact is redundant

They are freaky!

They're made from the Euro Berenguer dolls and then artists "custom reborn" them (the preemie/first day one in this link shows him intact - I'm guessing the other Euro ones are too).

Nice to know that there are intact dolls out there though. Maybe we can find one that's not so freaky looking!

Freakily realistic, except for one thing.

Both my boys were born with their testicles pretty swollen up from hormones, etc. So her little newborn boy looks so modest in comparison to their hugeness .

Ick. Ick. Ick.

And double ick on the formula and pacifier for the preemie.

I just don't get why you'd want a doll like this....

I bought Ds one of the berenguer dolls (that these are "reborn" from) it is a european company and the anatomically correct boy dolls are all intact as far as I can tell. His looks real, but nothing near like the ones that are redone by artists. I wanted him to have a baby to prepare for when his baby brother arrives. I do love the ones on that website though. I love the realistic baby dolls. Not something you would buy for a child, more a collectable. They are usually incredibly expensive.

I would imagine that intact ones would sell better; nothing would be more disturbing than a permanently Plastibelled penis. Shudder. Or that awful raw new circ look.

iris, years ago we were all looking here (at mothering, not necessarily the circ'd board) for the berengeuer dolls that were intact. they had stopped making them or something (one woman had one last page up, & was sold out already), and i had a fine time going to overstock & outlet stores trying to find one and palpating doll genitalia. we couldn't even find one with that was anatomically correct, & to this day my boys would really like to know what happened their baby!!! (they've heard rumors of circumcision & are suspicious...)

where did you manage to track down the uk dolls? (assuming you are not actually in the uk!) there is something wrong with a culture that insists on emasculating its boy dolls (makes me wonder how much some circ advocates would cut if they had their druthers. )

Yikes!

ok my niece is the proud Mama of *many* reborn dolls. many are so realistic it is scary, and freaks the aunties (my sisters and I- including her own Mama)out big time. there is even one dh doesn't like to look at because it is a newborn- as in fresh from the womb, matted hair and all and has a very unnatural color, and it makes him think the baby didn't make it (not that it is alive but ykwim- I'm trying to be sensitive ) they are all breastfed thoufgh many get ebm in bottles in her nicu. thats right her bedroom has been a full fledged nicu, she dreams of being a neonatal nurse and prectices in her bedroom, all 'leave' healthy and you wouldn't believe the set up. though she is 12 and quickly replacing the warmers with posters of rockers .anyway...i could , but these dolls are weighted, everything, she's worn them in slings and people completely believe they are real when dd was new we took pics of her in a row of the reborn berenguers(sp)- if you didnt know- you honestly wouldn't know which is real : --- anyway... she'll be agreat mama
she adores those babes and still gets one for Christmas each year

I want to make one like that (but not one of those--too expensive) so my son can have a doll that truly represents how he looks. I'm not a fan of the genderless dolls we have here in the US. Shhh...sex is dirty and reproductive parts are of the devil!

I think it helps kids to become more at ease with their bodies if none of the parts are seen as shameful, which is what happens (albeit, subconciously) when they're given a sexless doll.

Just my 2 cents.
