I took clomid on CD5-9 and went in for an U/S today, CD14. There was only one follicle 18mm.
Anyway, the doc wants me to come in for an IUI on Tues at 1:30pm and so I have to trigger on Sun morning 1:30.
Well, yesterday I got a neg OPK, but today, early afternoon I got a positive OPK, which is supposed to mean that I'll ovulate sometime within 24-36 hrs. Wouldn't that mean that I would have already o'd by the time I give myself the trigger??? I realize that the doc wanted to give my body another day for that follicle to grow, but I have this feeling that the timing is off. I virtually always O on CD14, but the one other time I took clomid, I O'd on CD 16, so I would expect O to be delayed about the same. But now I got this pos OPK...What are your thoughts?
Also, this is my first experience w/an HCG injection and the dr's assist told me to inject it in the abdomen below the belly button. But the pharmacists instructions say that it's "usually the upper thigh or buttocks". Your thoughts on that one? I'm gonna be doing this all by myself at 1:30am Sunday and it doesn't sound painless. The thigh wouldn't have sounded so bad--but jabbing myself in the belly--
ouch!
Thank you for any input and wisdom!

As far as the HCG injection, I just give them to myself in the "saddlebag" part of the side of my upper thigh. Reconstitute the powder with 1ml (1cc) of the diluent for the injection. It will burn for a bit after you're done, and you'll bruise, but that's nothing in the ultimate scheme of things.
I appreciate your help.
This info was not written down anywhere and the pharmacy info just said, "as directed"
: But I did recall the nurse saying something about 1ml, so that's what DH and I decided was probably correct. I figured better to do too little than too much! Oh well. The needle was very small and I think it was 18 gauge so very thin. It turned out fine. Funny thing, I once was a lab tech and needles never scared me at all...I've drawn blood from people many times. But, when it came down to *me* injecting *myself*...well, that was a little unsettling for me.
: that a little sibling is being created as I type this!
