It is fine to discuss circing amongst the membership of MDC as a general thing but not ok to make it specific about another member. This leads to personal attack and defensive postings. We are here to be an information source to our members.

It is understandable that we feel strongly about the pain and damage inflicted on a person due to circumcision. We need a place to express our feelings and thoughts about this and share that frustration as well BUT, it is important to keep in mind that new people come here to learn. When a parent is on the fence or even in favor of circ, we cannot let our pain and anger over ride our posts so that what people take away is an attitude and not an education.

I have no problem with you removing my thread. I did edit it to remove the mention of the other thread (I did not know this was forbidden at the time). I then was just questioning the GENERAL state on these boards of lots of US Mom's allowing control over what happens to their ds' genitals - handing that decision over to their husbands that I was querying. I just wondered why? I do however have a better understanding of it since some people were kind enough to answer my query before you took the thread away. To those that did, thanks xxxx
