I recently found out that I am pg. I ended up the other day in the emergency

room because I had some bleeding :
Well...they did a blood test to check my HCG level and it was 87C (I don't know what the C stands for)...the doctor said that was a low number but she was an e-room dr. and seemed very busy and I don't know if she really understood when my LMP was etc. So anyway, I believe that it had been about 15 to 17 since conception when I had the tests done.. So about 4 weeks and a couple of days since my LMP. Did any of you have similar levels at that time? I'm so scared that they are too low

I too, landed in the ER

with bleeding in early pregancy. I ended up miscarrying. For me, at the time it was a tremendous relief. I will say a prayer for you.

Don't know about the level - maybe someone else here does?

I am an ER nurse, and 87 is low. the "C" stands for critical, as in critically low. I see at least 10 women a weekend in similar situations. I am so sorry.

Even at 16 days post conception, the number should be higher. Have you followed up with your Doctor or Midwife? they can run Quants every other day or so and see if the number is growing.

Average HCG 15 days after conception is 57.
For 16 days it's 95
For 17 days it's 132
There is a huge range of normal. Even different labs get different numbers. More important would be a follow up test to determine if your numbers are doubling every 72 hours.

Well I went in today and my HCG levels

(46 hours later) had more then doubled to 239...yipee!!
