Looking for a good beeswax candle or oil HOLIDAY scent

Hi all,

Thought I'd tap into your noses for a second for the holiday. I am the type that loves spices and fruity type scents. Floral scents have always given me a headache for some reason so those are out and they aren't really holidayish anyway. I'm not too hot on earthy scents either, but I do tolerate them I guess better than floral. If I could find a good spicey one that would be awesome. It doesn't have to be an essential oil, I've smelled most of them and really the only spicy one that smells good is clove to me.

I usually buy a yankee candle every holiday but since I know better, I won't be doing that this year. I have a great cold diffuser to use for oils and oil blends. So I'm looking for a good spicy holiday blend for my diffuser or a beeswax candle. Does this exist?

I just want a safe and non toxic holiday that smells great.

i put some peppermint oil in my diffuser today and i thought it was very holiday-ish. i really liked it. dh commented on it when he arrived home also.

mmm, cloves. i love that scent. what about some type of vanilla scent? can you get vanilla oil? or maybe just use the extract. for some reason, i'm thinking cardamom oil also. anyone else?

o.k. tell me about yankee candle. I don't currently have any but have been given them in the past.
I have found some nice candles at my local health food/herbal store. I have also used cinnamon oil and it smelled great. You can also just save some orange peel, add cloves and cinnamon to some water and it smells great.

My favorite holiday scent is bayberry... I have no idea if you can get candles or oil in that scent but it's definitley spicy, only in a not-foody type of way.. and warm and cozy smelling...

With Yankee candles it is about their wax...or candle wax in general.

Emsmom's post in the thread above sums up what all I've read all over about candles..so I'm switching to beeswax.

If you do a search on candles or yankee candles in this particular section you will come up with a few links to read.

My fav for this time of year is burning cedar EOs. Ummmmmmm....smells like Christmas trees!! You can also get pine and it smells yummy too. You can do so much with EOs, I'm sure you could mix a few to find the perfect scent for you! So much healthier than the artifical, manufactured scents. I used to get horrible headaches from these as well.

As for candles, I personally only burn beeswax. I've got some gorgeous ones if your looking for a source.
