Where did my contractions go?

I really don't want to be a whiner. But I have completely lost any hope of giving birth anytime soon. Before my due date I was feeling contractions way more often than I am now. Now I sleep soundly through the night, my diarrhea is gone, I have no contractions...what is going on. No baby Finn, you can't stay in there-mommy wants her belly back sometime

Has anyone else experienced this?

Just a quick update- I let my MW check me today. 90% effaced, 2 cm dilated. Come on baby...I want to hold you!!

It sounds like your body is giving you a chance to rest before your little one comes! I know it's soooo hard. I thought I was going to lose my mind in the last week of my pregnancy. Just try to take it as easy as you can and let your body follow its clock. It won't be long.

Yes, my guess is that it's the "calm before the storm". I was having lots of BH and pelvic pressure for weeks, then I had "false" labor, then for the week before I gave birth things kind of settled down as far as BH and all the signs of impending labor I had been experiencing. You and your baby will meet soon. Rest rest rest!
