Samuel Wilson arrived on October 21!!

After approximately 3 hours of labor, Samuel Wilson arrived on October 21 at 9:19 pm. He weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces and was 21 inches long.

I've been doing lots of resting and tons of nursing. Samuel has jaundice, so things have been tough. He's been under lights at home pretty much constantly except for nursing time and diaper changes. Hopefully he'll be done with light therapy in the next day or two. Thankfully my wonderful in-laws are staying with us and taking shifts during the night to watch him. The lights can cause eye damage and Samuel is already very adept at ripping off his blindfold!

Congrats to you and welcome to baby Samuel!!! I went through the jaundice thing with my first baby and I know it's really hard. Hang in there-- it will pass! Thinking of you!

Aww, poor little guy! But the whole pulling-off-the-blindfold thing indicates spunk Way to go mama!!!
