Keeping this on-topic. We all need a break from the hectic life of parenting, and one of my favorite escapes is to dig into a good book. It's an added bonus to come across something queer-friendly, and seems to recharge me even more.


Have you read any books featuring gay parents? (fiction or non fiction)

I recently borrowed Lucky in the Corner (can't remember the author) from the library and really enojyed it. A lesbian mother and cross-dressing uncle were main characters in the book. It was a fun novel, definitely worth reading.

Right now I'm reading a non-fiction book called Out in the World: Gay Life from Baghdad to Bangladesh (or something really close to that). It's not written by a sociologist/anthropologist, but it seems like it could fall into that category. But the author is an excellent storyteller and it is a really easy and interesting read, not dry at all.

Anyone else have any recommendations and reviews?
