A tip for dealing with meconium

I heard about this with my last pregnancy and I am so glad that I did, so I thought I would share. If you put a little of extra virgin olive oil on the bum and genitals each diaper change, it will really help with wiping off that next sticky meconium poop.

My midwife mentioned this last visit. Got to be great for their skin too.

Or castor oil... oil doesn't clog up nappies the way that sudocrem does either.

Helen, please tell me why you're not having a baby right now. I thought you were in labour!

Has anyone used sweet apricot oil instead of olive oil? The kind I have is organic and is by Aura Cacia (sp?). I've been using it on my belly during this pregnancy and I love how it doesn't have a fragrance and is totally natural.

Would you use it??

SOrry to highjack!

Thanks!
