2nd Tri minimal symptoms?

Hi all,
I am just now 13 weeks, w/ a May 5 due date. I really don't have any symptoms except my poochy belly and heart burn....and so that scares me!! Is there any way to make sure everything is A-okay without going to the doctor? I guess I am being a bit paranoid, but wondered if anyone else felt that way. Thanks in advance, I really enjoy being here w/ y'all!!

I'm so glad you posted this because I feel the exact same way. I don't have any answers but I hope you at least feel better you're not the only one. It doesn't help that coworkers are telling me how nice and slim I look, either. I want to look and feel pregnant. My next appointment on November 21 appointment seems like years away. I bet we're fine, just paranoid.

well

Do you have breast tenderness or sore nipples? If you are not bleeding or spotting you have to assume everything is fine. It is hard insn't it? Taking everything on Faith that your body knows what it is doing and this is what it is meant to do.

my biggest symptoms this whole pg are zits and bad hair. i had manageable heartburn, which has now gone away, though i'm sure it will return later. i haven't puked once. i had one week with 3 or 4 headaches. i haven't been exhausted, either. according to my last period, my due date is may 18, so i shouldn't be in the second tri easy period, even. however, i think i was pregnant before that period because i had some early symptoms and felt pg. anyway, the absence of symptoms has made me think it's a boy, or i don't have enough hcg or other disasterous something.

I feel the same way. I think it's natural to worry that there's something wrong when you can't see/feel the baby. Everytme I go to the bathroom, I'm sure I'll see spotting, but I don't, and every time I get a wave of nausea or I'm falling asleep in the middle of the afternoon, I just think, "OK baby, I know you're still there. Mama will try to stop worrying." I do think that I'm more worried with this pregnancy than I was with DD, and I have no idea why. I almost don't want to tell anyone else we're PG until we go back to the midwife for our second appointment in 3 weeks-even though the first appointment at 10 weeks was fine and they heard the HB on the doppler right away. Not logical-just emotional.

we didn't hear a heartbeat at our first appointment, so I have that to worry about, too.

That's part of the reason why I didn't want to schedule the first appointment until 10 weeks or later, and actually the MW didn't think we would be able to hear it so early, we just got lucky. Hang in there, by your next appointment I'm sure you will have much more evidence of baby in there.

My symptoms are night and day different these last couple of weeks. I'm such a huge worrier (it runs in the family and thankfully less in me than my mom or sister)... that I immeadiately thought the worst.

Thurs. I had my 2nd MW appt. When she couldn't find the HB, I broke into a cold sweat. Thankfully, she pulled in the Ultrasound machine and I got to see the little bug hopping around and the . So reasuring!

Let yourself relax a little. Your body has probably just (finally) adjusted to your new hormone levels.
