Help me design some bumperstickers!

Thread Starter
Ok, so I just can't stand doing nothing anymore
So I decided to design my own bumperstickers and wanted some input from all of you.
DH really hates bumperstickers (no matter what they say ), so I figure at the very least I can make them into magnets and put them on my fridge

www.makestickers.com is where I'm looking atm.
Found one that has 2 parents holding the hands of a little boy and girl, here's what I was thinking it could say:

Circumcision.
You wouldn't do it to your daughter,
why do it to your son?
www.NOCIRC.org

Another one I had thought of (a long time ago) was something like:

Wonderfully designed;
Say no to circumcision.
www.NOCIRC.org

Thought provoking enough or no?

I'd love to hear some of your ideas

Comparing male circ to female circ is a big no-no -- I've found that it just makes people roll their eyes. They don't get it.

I like the quote in my sig -- it makes people think:

Only in America do we believe in cosmetic surgery on unconsenting male infants but outlaw genital piercings for consenting adult women

or these:

Want cruelty free makeup? Stop infant circumcision.
URL EXPLAINING UNDERNEATH

His body, his choice
URL

My URL of choice would honestly be cirp -- just because people are more likely to go there than something like nocirc or mothersagainstcirc

I've seen you sig before and wondered about it. I didn't that piercings had been outlawed. Women have told me they've had them. I'm pretty curious as this is a very strong argument against circ. Pretty sure DH is concinved but an extra weapon in my arsenal is always good. I almost started to just do some research on my own and then realized that a goodle search could bring up al kinds of scary things, so please help me out here.

TIA

Fi, I don't think most people get the: outlaw genital piercings for consenting adult women part in your siggie... at least I don't. I wasn't aware that genital piercing is outlawed for adults-- adn I definatly am not aware of any cases where it is outlawed for women, but allowed for men.

I know someone else asked about this before, but I missed the answer, sorry if you posted it. In any case, for me, that wouldn't really make a good bumper sticker because I would get stuck on the genital piercing part and not think about what you really are getting at.

I like a lot of the siggies I see on MDC:

Question Circumcision

Babies are born perfect: Say NO to circumcision

The foreskin is not a birth defect

10 out of 10 babies oppose circumcision

Cut my WHAT?? Say NO to circumcision

Circumcision is a choice: His body his choice

THere are tons of options, I'm not sure which one I would pick- it often depends on my mood. And follow your saying with a website for info

tie dyed- I guess we posted at around the same time (-;

I thought about this the other night in bed:

If you circ, you're a jerk

Sorry. Couldn't resist. Too forward?
That is great. I wonder if there is a way to make it so it doesn't insult the parents who were not informed that intact is perfect.

However, any circ bumper sticker is bound to pis$$ someone off(-:

Maybe pairing with ? circ?

Question Circumcision
If you circ, you're a jerk

Here's a site where you can get all kinds of products with intactivist messages on them:

http://www.cafepress.com/noric

And if you don't see what you like, you can get it custom made to your specifications.

Also, I have a really cute graphic you can use. PM me with your e-mail addy and I'll send it to you.

All profits go toward ending infant circumcision.

I like that. And there's another one in this thread like that
Quote:

I think the reason that I like them so much is that THAT was my "ah ha" moment (unfortunately AFTER circing) that the foreskin is a NATURAL THING! (uh, duh lol)

I also like
Quote:
Circumcision is a choice: His body his choice
but I'm not sure it would get the point across- too many people don't see babies as people, kwim?

I was wondering about the female genital piercing thing to, and I looked it up, and sure enough- in Georgia it IS illegal for a woman to get her genitals pierced, punishable by up to 2-20 years in prison. And cutting off part of a baby boy's genitals is ok. What a sick sad place

The state of Georgia outlawed female circumcision for adult women along with genital piercings in March of last year.

Quote:
An amendment adopted without objection added "piercing" to the list of things that may not be done to female genitals. Even adult women would not be allowed to get the procedure. The bill eventually passed 160-0, with no debate.

Amendment sponsor Rep. Bill Heath, R-Bremen, was slack-jawed when told after the vote that some adults seek the piercings.

"What? I've never seen such a thing," Heath said. "I, uh, I wouldn't approve of anyone doing it. I don't think that's an appropriate thing to be doing."

The ban applies only to women, not men. The bill has already been approved by the Senate but now must return to that chamber because of the piercing amendment. Both chambers of the Legislature must agree on a single version of a bill before it can go to the governor for final approval.
It dropped off the radar after that -- I'm almost positive it went through.

Fi, I don't think it ever passed. The female circumcision bill was proposed by a female legislator in response to a female circumcision in Gwinnett county performed by the father with a pair of scissors on the kitchen table. I believe the bill was dropped when they found out that the practice is already banned by federal law that classified it as a felony. The legislator who put up the clause about genital piercings is a Christian extremist and had few allies in the legislature and I think it died in the Senate and no one has had the will to resurect it. I think the reason it got a unanimous vote is simply because of the ignorance of the legislators and when they got the full story, it was dropped like a hot potato. (Thank you Dan Quail. Now I always have to think about the spelling of "potato.")

Ya, I only remember hearing about genital piercing being possibly outlawed in Georgia. As a pierced woman (three of my 13 being genital piercings), hearing people compare it to genital mutilation INFURIATED me like nothing else...

I like the "Babies are born perfect" and "Wonderfully designed" sticker ideas.

I like the "no circ under penalty of lawsuit" stickers on the noric cafepress site. Scary that you'd need them in the first place, though...

Ooh, something else I've said to people was something like
Babies are born perfect- Why mess with success?
(the "babies are born perfect" on it's own seemed to be offensive- people took it as "they WERE perfect, until you went and cut them up, and now they're not. Which, though it may be true in some sense, isn't what you want to say. My son is perfect, even though he's missing a body part- kwim?)
anyways...there's some good ideas in this thread

Have you checked out The People's Wall at Noharmm yet? It might offer you some more ideas...

Why chose to circ,
if there is no perk.

If a snip is no big deal for your son,
So why is a Vasectomy, when your wife asks you to get one..

Have fewer wrinkles on your skin,
get your sons foreskin cut off of him

I would rather have been left with a with a full deck,
than to save us from looking at your wrinkly neck.
Say no to circ!

Welcome son, i am your next of kin,
but not before the doc chops off your foreskin

i am a whole man,
i was cut short

my daughter is perfect from head to toe,
my son is not, your foreskin has to go

I like these:

Informed parents say NO! to circumcision
www.cirp.org

Educated parents say NO! to Circumcision
www.cirp.org

Today's parents say NO! to circumcision
www.cirp.org

For me all three of the above would make me think "Well, I want to be "informed", "educated", or "modern".

Or,

Circumcision Scars
www.cirp.org

Or how about,

Infant circumcisers aren't playing with a full D*CK!
www.cirp.org

Circumcision advocates aren't playing with a full D*CK!
www.cirp.org

Circumcision is unwholeSON
www.cirp.org

Those would probably appeal to the younger crowd.

My fav probably is (if you could find a pic of a "surprised" looking baby)
You want to cut off my WHAT???
www.cirp.org

Good luck and let usknow what you decide!

Take care,
Tara

circumcision:
conformity = deformity

The foreskinis normal.
Circumcision is a fetish.

Wash, Don't Cut.
Teach hygiene, not mutilation.

Circumcision: An operation that permanently marks little boys with their parents' ignorance.

10 out of 10 babies oppose circumcision.
Shouldn't you?

are the ones from the wall that I like
