My mom gave me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous illustrations and very sweet ideas inside. Plus it's just structured enough so that I can be creative about what I include...
This is the prettiest carrier, and fit my shoulders and figure (at 5'6") much better than the Ergo. I got it when my daughter was about nine months, two years ago - it doesn't appear to have...
This potty is great - excellent value & performance! (plus it's cute!) My 9 month old DS took to it right away. He is a big boy (30 in. tall - feet not quite on floor - & 27 lbs.) and this is...
To anyone looking for a carrier, BECO is the brand!
I recently had purchased the Gemini, great carrier! It has everything you will ever need and want, its ergonomic, comfy, organic, made...
I'm nursing my 20mo old and over the past two weeks, my nipples have become so sore and sensitive that it's getting very painful to nurse. Any suggestions? I'm not ready to wean yet, but if the pain continues, I may not have a choice!
I have to agree with you. It feels like dds tounge is made of sandpaper when she nurses. It is not so bad during the day but I cannot deal with the night nursing. We've been having my hubby get up and rock her at night and without the boob she wakes up totally; so I'll get up and doze on the couch and put on a movie for her until she falls asleep. It's been screwing up our schedule big time but it's better than letting her cry/feel rejected. It's all I got for right now. I hear it gets better after the first trimester.
I have the same, I am nursing my 3 1/2year old (only 4 times a week though) and my 20 month old seems to have started nursing more than he was.
It burns as well so I am treating my self for thrush too.
With the last baby I realised I had stopped paying attention to the latch on and I started paying attention again and it helped a bit.
I also use distraction for myself and when nursing try and read a book at the same time so I can concentrate on something else.
love
Kate
as pp mentioned, i've noticed if the latch is a slight bit off (which doesn't normally bother me), then these days the pain is awful. also, i've been asking ds to "take a break" every once in a while, and that seems to help, and he's starting to understand and help me out, which is nice.
I was thinking the latch issue too (because I've got some irritation going on too.)
Kate - my 19-month-old has increased her nursings too. I had one day that she was nursing for no less than 45 minutes at a time. (And my supply still seems fine, so I don't think it's that!)
my nipples are fine, but DD seems to be slowing waaaaay down. She had slowed down some before I was preg and continues to slow. I really didn't expect her to wean this early (16 mo), but it doesn't seem to be a nursing strike, she really seems to not be interested. She never asks lately, so I offer and many times isn't interested. She is attached at the hip to her brother (only 1 yr older), so I wonder if she just notices that he doesn't nurse.
I feel the same way as many of you. The latch is definately key. Sometimes when it's off, I wince. Then there is occassional burning with the flow. For now, it's a pain I can deal with but I'm definately going to talk to my homeopath about it this month. Thanks for your help and support!
