is it possible to track a package sent by priority mail without the tracking number???
I purposely put the reciept from the po in a *safe* place but I can't force my brain to come up with any semblence of an idea of where....

Would you return a persons' money if they didn't request insurance and they are claiming they didn't receive a package but you don't have a tracking # to prove it was delivered???

No, I tried it last time and it didn't work..

I have a problem with that too, a few weeks ago. I bought something and the delivery conf. said it was sent, and it basically got lost in the uspsland.
I know it's not her fault, but it's not my fault either...
Should I ask for a refund?

I always thought that if you wanted to be safe from that that you paid a little extra for "delivery confirmation" which (I think?) means that someone has to sign for it, but I am not sure. I know that's what keeps you covered in case of someone saying they didn't get something that you sent.

oetien, unless you bought insurance I don't think you can ask for a refund... boy, I've been hearing about tons of stuff being "lost" in the mail lately!!! And insurance is a pain because supposedly the post office take forever to refund your money anyway.

Is this ebay? If so, I'd check their feedback and see what they have- more than 99% positive and I'd probably refund the payment for the item as a gesture of goodwill but keep the postage and packaging fees and leave them a neutral/negative comment explaining what happened. I'd give it at least a fortnight, though, before you do that.
