Hi all! I'm fairly new to MDC. I hung out over at ivillage during my son's pregnancy/babyhood... but boy, I wish I knew about this place then! I was lucky there was a loud-mouthed AP-er that I admired on one of my boards, because otherwise... well, on that playgroup there was lots of don't-spoil-the-baby, spank your toddlers, CIO advocating folks. You know the type... 
Anyway! I was 16 when I had that baby, but managed to get him to age 4 without too much damage.
He was cloth diapered, co-slept, and nursed until he was done at 3... (Just try explaining that one to boob-phobic high school girls!) He's *such* a cool kid, loves physical play, and games of all sorts (his most recent obsession? Chess, eek!).
As for baby #2... Long story short...
Met DH (online of all places!), got married this past June, decided to start trying for a baby in August, and now here we are! I'm thrilled beyond belief. We haven't told anyone yet... I'm sort of liking the idea of waiting until Christmas, but I don't know if I have the patience!
