Hi Girls
Like I said in an earlier post, I am from India & we have a lot of natural recipes handed down from generations. Please allow me to share some with you:
Face Wash & Scrub
2 part Sun dried orange peel (you can place fresh orange peels, covered with thin muslin cloth in the sun for a few days)
1 part Red lentil (optional)
A few almonds
Dry grind together to make a powder. Before going into the shower, take a teaspoonful of this powder, mix in 2 tsp of milk & a few drops of oil if you have dry skin. Let the mixture sit while you shower. In the end massage this paste into your face & neck (take your time doing it) & finally wash off.

Eyeliner – Indian name Kaajal (The eye being very sensitive, please watch out for allergies & use very clean apparatus to avoid infection)
We use earthen oil lamps but a small glass or metal bowl should do just as well.
2 tbsp Oil (preferably mustard but you may use sweet almond also – please do watch out for nut allergies)
A few drops castor oil
1 cotton wick about 1/8 inch thick (take a longish wad of cotton & make a wick by rolling back & forth between your palms)
Put the wick in the mustard or almond oil & light one end. Hold a glass / metal plate over the flame(use tongs as the plate will get hot) & collect the soot. The soot will be flaky so add a few drops of castor oil. Please be careful not to thin out the soot too much. It should just be cakey. Apply to eye with finger

Mascara
This is the easiest – clean out an old mascara brush or baby toothbrush. Dip in castor oil & apply to lashes. If you need to blacken them a bit add some soot from previous recipe
