MITB, I'm glad to know your baby is okay. I suspect slow withdrawal will be the key to safety for you and el bebe.
avas, counselors have informed me that general family physicians often prescribe antis without the proper diagnosis and follow-up. My suggestion, if it's possible, is to seek out a physciatrist. That person can tell you about supplements, etc., as well as lay out the pros and cons of each kind of antidepressent. They're knowledgeable about withdrawal and cocktails (different drugs together, if one or the other isn't working). Another good resource is a pharmacist. (That said, I've only taken a prenatal and my antis, no supplements.)
