Why oh why am I starting to throw up at 11 weeks?

OMG I have had a bad cold and no voice at all since MOnday. Yesterday I threw up twice and today I have been fighting it all day. I am sure the gaggy coughing doesn't help nor the fact that I just can't eat. I have been nauseated since before I even took a test, but the throwing up started yesterday at 11 weeks. OMG I hope it doesn't last!

It's probably the mucus, running down your throat, filling your stomach. . . YUM. But seriously, it's nauseating even when not pg. I'm just getting over a cold, and while I haven't thrown up this pg, I had some major gagging and heaving in the middle of this cold.

Yeah, it's probably (hopefully) just the cold. However, with my last pregnancy, I started getting sick around 9-11 weeks and stayed sick until I was around 5 months. Some women just get a late start with the m/s. Mine started early this pg, and I don't think it's ever gonna end! Hope it's not the same for you.

Just wanted to chime in here, even though I am from the March due date club . . . started getting sick at week 6, and am still sick at week 19.

Here's hoping it is JUST the cold making you sick, and not la bebe . . .

OH God

It is 4:39 a.m. and I woke up in a coughing fit and have run to the bathroom 3 times thinking I am about to puke. I need sleep!

Well, this may not make you feel better but I thought my nausea was gone at 10 weeks and bam- next thing I knew I was puking. Thankfully I don't puke daily- some days I eat a lot and feel great and other days I snack on a little food, puke it up, snack some more... you get the idea. I'm 13w2d now so I've been puking off and on for three weeks.

Hope your cold gets better asap!

My daily vomiting started at 12w! I'm at 13 now, and feeling better, so I''m hoping it was just a last hurrah thing. I can't imagine dealing with this for months- those of you who have...you're made of stronger stuff than I am!

Hope you feel better. Maybe some tea made with fresh ginger, a big squeeze of lemon, and some honey might help?

Oooooooooooooh the nausea

The sore throat has turned into a cough. I hack and then I yak.

The nausea is worse - probably because I have not been able to eat good and get too hungry and cause of the mucous and coughing. THe nausea is just worse in general though. It sucks.

That does suck. I started throwing up more regularly when I got a cold (couple of times a day instead of couple of times a week). I found the worst part was after a couple days of congestion+cough combined with throwing up my throat was *so* sore. Please try to take care of that as you go--honey and lemon, whatever. I even started trying to drink more milk to lower acidity when I did throw up. Dunno if it works scientifically but it did decrease irritation.

This is *so* pot and kettle here, but please try to keep eating no matter how sucky it feels. I stopped eating well/regularly a couple of weeks ago and it is *so* hard to break that cycle.

Feel better soon!

I know

that is the worst part. Not being able to eat well makes it so much worse. I tried to eat dinner tonight and after every bite I thought I would yak. I hope this goes away soon.

still sick

I have been so miserable. Today we came home from her dance class. I ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich and a glass of milk. Went to go wash my hands afterwards and lost my lunch. I know the cough is making it worse, but the nausea is new and different than the weeks I had it before last week.

My daughter has kindermusic tomorrow and we are in the mommy and me class. I really don't feel like going but we have already missed so much this semester I feel like it was a total waste of money to enroll.

I just keep thinking this should be a good sign right? I mean that my hormones are doing what they are supposed to be doing. I just hope it gets better. It is really hard to make committments when I am puking all the time...

I go to the doc on Thursday. Wish me luck.

Oh, so sorry you are still sick. As miserable as it is, and believe me I have been there, they say it is a good sign. Just try to take it one day at a time. Get as much rest as you can. Enlist as much help as you can. (Is there a grandma or someone who can take dd to mommy & Me?) I know I was always much sicker when I was tired. Some people have luck w/those SeaBands. Eating ginger can also help.

Hang in there Babydoll.
