Yay ummm I think :D

Well, today was the greatest day of my pregnancy so far. I went in for my 10-12 week visit and finally met my OB (who is actually a midwife even though it's a military hospital) and had all the usual stuff done.

Well, we get to the discussion of the doppler...and I know some of you ladies hate the dopplers and the ultrasounds...but I'm not one of those people. So of course I'm only 10 weeks and my uterus is actually tipped AND folded onto itself, so the doppler is of course going to register the baby as having no heartbeat. I know of course that 10 weeks is still early to actually hear the heartbeat, so I'm just disappointed, but not worried.

Well, so we go ahead and do the ultrasound, and there on the screen is my little 10 week bean with heart thumping right as it should be, and the size it should be.

I loved being able to actually see that there is something going on in there, but a while after I get home...my day turns icky.

After being so amazing (this is my first pregnancy) I go grocery shopping, get my healthier food, and then go home and eat something healthy. I then proceed to do the very thing that will turn me inside out...I drink an entire glass of V8 (the reduced sodium kind) and proceed to throw the ENTIRE days worth of food up not even an hour later.

So yeah...although today was amazing for me...I managed to get my first case of pregnancy throw up yet.

Sorry if you guys stopped reading a while ago...I just felt like posting all of this

Well, they put me on medication for my GERD because they would NOT like me to burn a hole in my stomach or esophagus while I'm pregnant (had this for almost 10 years) so I will be back to eating like I could when I was a kid in no time.

And yeah, I actually laid there and cried, and omg I am SO glad that I am able to see a midwife instead of a doctor. His attitude about birth was health health health, and even though the nurse on my first visit said that I wasn't allowed to refuse the PAP he reassured me that I am allowed to refuse any care that I feel is not necessary for me.

Unfortunately next week is my glucose level test, and I just feel like I should get that done since my mother and grandmother are both diabetic.

Anyway, thanks for letting me get my day out.

blech - puking up V8 would NOT be fun.

But I am happy you got to see the baby and your MW sounds very nice!
