At 10:46pm, November first, Jericho was born by emergency c-section. He was three pounds, seven ounces - born at 34 weeks.
He had black eyes, and over an inch of long black hair. He looked very much like his sister did when she was first born.
He had a heart defect, and only one working lung. He did not cry, and stayed with us only fifteen minutes.
He took his last breath in his father's arms around eleven o'clock.
Thank you all for everything you have offered me in this community. Support, knowledge, confidence... it is because of my choice to have an unassisted pregnancy that my son died peacefully and we had a joyous and beautiful eight months together.
I am angry for my c-section, but it may have given us the extra moments for my husband to get to the hospital so that he could be with him as he died. No tubes, no drugs, just peaceful.
I'm working on my birth story. I don't know where I'll put it.
I know some people hate to see pictures. I used to hate it, I thought it was weird and creepy.
So I made sure to pick some that weren't so... I don't know. Obvious, I guess.

He looks beautiful, I am glad that you were able to have a few peaceful moments with him before he took his last breath.
