Q About Twins

This may be a silly question, esp since I don't even know that I'm having twins, but I was just curious... Is it safe/possible to birth twins at home or at a birth center? Or, would your mf ask you to go to a hospital?

Absolutely! That was one of my questions for midwives (as there are a LOT of twins on my dh's side)

My midwife actually had her own twins at home unassisted.

Unassisted! Wow... though I guess if you are a midwife yourself that's kinda like being assisted lol.

Good to know though, dh thinks we're having twins and I don't want to have to go to the hospital!

I had my twins in the hospital, but my current midwife attends twin homebirths several times a year.

She actually wasn't a midwife at the time, didn't become one until years later

I think most will say it's safe as long as ptl isn't an issue and baby A is vertex.

Another question...
when the second baby comes (with twins), does it burn as bad as the first? Just curious, bc delivering the placenta last time burned, but not nearly as bad as the baby did... is that bc it's softer, or bc you're pretty streached from the baby?
