I'm on pins and needles waiting for my serger!!

Somehow I convinced dh that getting a serger was a good idea I've been converting our pfs to fitteds and if I get good enough at it, there is a local shop in town that will buy them from me . But told dh I could only do it if I serged them, otherwise they won't look professional. So on Tippytoes26 advice I bought the Kenmore serger from Sears. I'm going nuts waiting for it to get here!

Ooooh, lucky girl!!! I want a serger, also, and everytime I make a dipe or anything, I also comment, wow, this would look sooooo nice if it were serged hasn't worked yet, but your story gives me hope

Woohoo! So are you getting the $350 Kenmore or the $250 one? I didn't see the $250 one online anymore. I know both are on sale right now in the store for $50 off. I couldn't resist looking while I was getting bobbins for my Sears-exclusive Singer (which means I can't get bobbins anywhere else - they don't work with my machine :... Oh, and I still got the wrong ones!).

I told my DH that the $350 Kenmore and the White 2000 ATS were both recommended by diaper makers (I scoured the archives of this forum!) and both were "affordable", so we'll see what I end up with. I just hate waiting another month and a half!!!

Oh, oh... the $350 Kenmore is on sale for $250 with free shipping now! I'll bet that's what you got! Just a few days ago when I was looking at them, it wasn't on sale at all online, but was on sale at the store for $300. Must go tell DH!!! That's cheaper than the White (which runs about $289 shipped). And the sale ends Saturday!

Holy cow! Thanks for posting that, I didn't know it was $250 now! Dh will be happy, LOL! They have a price match guarantee, I just emailed them requesting a refund for the difference. Thanks for the heads up. Man, I would have been kicking myself big time!

Glad I could help! They weren't on sale AT ALL when I looked online Monday, so this is a very new sale, and it ends in 2 days! I e-mailed DH and told him to tell Santa about the sale.

PS - I'm still giddy about the serger I got in August. I use it for EVERYTHING now and every time I'm done with a project, I come upstairs with a grin on my face and DH now automatically says, "You still love that serger, don't you?" I really do

I managed to convince one of my best friends to move from Nunavut (that's one of the territories in Canada... think polar bears!) which was an 8 hr plane ride away to buy the house 3 doors down from me and then found out that she has a serger that I can borrow any time I want!

Not only do I get the serger I get the friend to go along with it! (oh, and right now it's in my basement so that I can convert prefolds! I'm SO lucky! And if either one of us move, I'm going to have to buy my own...!)
