When I used to eat roast, here's what I did. Simple & easy.

Chuck roast
Lipton onion soup mix
1/2 cup water
pkg of baby carrots (last couple of hours)

cook all day on next to lowest setting for fall apart tender roast.

heres a favorite:

chuck or bottom round roast
1 can golden mushroom soup
1 can french onion soup
1 can cheddar cheese soup

mix all three soups and maybe 1/2 can of water, pour over roast and cook on low for 6 hours (5 maybe?).

serve over egg noodles.

dont be afraid of the cheeses soup...it seemed weird to me at first, but its delicious!

here is one more...

Coke Roast

chuck or bottom round or sirloin tip roast
I 12oz can of coke (not pepsi!)
1 envelope of liptons onion soup mix (i use walmart brand)

mix coke with onion soup mix. pour over roast, cook *covered* in a 300 degree oven for 3 hours

you can thicken the gravy with a little cornstarch and water.
